Lake and Porter county are the primary areas I am looking at.

I am guessing housing demand is kept afloat because of the close proximity to the lake.

Scenario: I own a 2 bd/1bath small condo in SE Michigan (Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area @ ~850 sq ft) which I lived in for ~ 15 years (nice small place along quiet, decent-sized lake), and moved recently out of state for a different job in same industry.

I'm a Jersey boy who's been in Salt Lake City about 18 months.

I purchased a single family house in Salt Lake City with a mother-in-law apartment in the basement.

The current DOM for those particular zip codes (which covers everything from Texas City to Clear Lake to Pasadena and everything surrounding) still shows that we are still in a strong seller's market. 

That's lower end entry...there is a wide range in Denton and there are opportunities, depending on your risk tolerance to look at higher end...in Denton County we are still undergoing strong expansion and are seeing spill over of development around the top of the lake. 

Although we are native Texans, we currently live in the Salt Lake City area and love it. 

So here we go.I'm looking at 34 acres outside of the STL metro area, this property has about .25 of a mile of road frontage, situated on a major corridor between the STL metro area, and lake of the Ozarks.
