Highly suspicious, but the settlement was $250,000 if I remember correctly.  

They have insurance just for things like this, so best case scenario, you could get a quick settlement check to cover the cost

Allocate some of the settlement sheet total cost to land since you can't depreciate land (a topic for another day).
