1st property,Initiating construction work and inquiring as too specific questions too ask potential contractors I’m interviewing for hire... please assist I.

I would put together a list of questions and things that are important to you, and interview as many companies as you can until you find one that feels right to you. 

I will not buy anything until I conduct a personal visit there to survey the cities/neighborhoods and interview realtors & PMs. 

I plan on interviewing diferent PM and hopefully I’ll find a good match for my property.

Regardless of how you find them, try to interview at least three managers1.

I interviewed and like what I heard, I negotiated their contact and hired them.

If yo do not want to pay a contractor to be a part of your team then take the time to interview a few contractors at their job site so you get familiar with typical cost to do things in your area so you get better at determining accurate repair costs.

I'm interviewing contractors: any suggestions based on personal experience?

@Naomi W Scales sorry I didn't catch this post sooner but I would suggest that you ask your lender a few questions in the interview process to see if they are any good at lending on investment properties.
