Due to price point and style we upgraded our budget with custom cabinets ($15k), metal roof in areas ($25k), and designer mid-century lights ($2k).

In my area, which is like a lot of areas, quite a bit of duplex housing was built earlier in the 20th century, from 1915-1965, and after that the trend went more and more to single-family.

The homes will be mid-century modern style.
