The short term rental is more aligned with my long term goals, but it is just skipping ahead by a few years and skipping over the 3 long term rentals I had Initially planned for my portfolio.Do I keep the property and maybe drop the rent under market value, while also coming about of pocket until we find new tenants, or sell and use the equity towards short term? 

Also to get ahead of potential problems I'm likely to encounter.

Instead of eating leftovers we eat hot n ready pizzas, instead of paying for a college class and doing it get ahead we buy a six pack and play madden, instead of driving our old car we buy a new one.

It sounds like you like to stay ahead of the curve with things, but like others mentioned, I think it may be a bit too early for them to know if they are going to renew lease or not.

Think about that, ahead of India, UK, France and Italy.
