We're happy to sit on them or sell out, pull out our equity and move on and up.Technically they are two 4plexes, so they *could* be purchased with 2 conventional loans - however the appraisal would have to be based on the income method.

As for the estimated income taxes, there’s no gain until I actually sell the house, at which point everything would be in COGS anyway—under your method or J Scott’s method—so I’ll know how much net income was generated and can easily estimate income taxes.
