Detached Accessory Dwelling Units (DADU's) are legal in Spokane, so you could potentially look for a primary residence that has the potential to someday have an apartment over the garage or in the basement.If you are wanting to stay in real estate, I think this could be a good time to jump up a level on the pyramid.  

I run a contracting company that specializes in creating legal accessory  apartments, and we have done many flips for local investors.

It is listed as a single family home with an accessory apartment on MLS.  

It's a great place to get ideas about coveted looks and materials in the area.  

Our street also coveted, it's a dead end and a lot of people in the neighborhood want to live on this block.

Either way, you should covet their authentic reaction even when it's tears.  

However, before you move forward, I wanted to be sure you've looked into whether your property meets the latest regulations on Accessory Dwelling Units enacted by Austin City Council in November 2015.

Hello, I with the recent easing of California and San Diego rules on Tiny houses (Accessory Dwelling Units) I'm interested in purchasing 2-3 tiny houses / Accessory dwelling units, place them on underutilized property in the San Diego / Point Loma area and then rent those houses.Does anyone have experience with:1) the application of this law?

I have had many clients looking for (and a couple that have bought) a primary home in that area in which they can rent out an Accessory Dwelling Unit or smaller unit as a short term or long term rental. 

But yeah buying a place for myself that would also bring in some money might be a good way to go, I will see what the market looks like for properties with accessory units.
