The holes were for hanging plastic inside and outside to prevent lead dust getting out.

Had to basically give them labor bids and they pay the material as needed.When it comes to lumber, owner looks at the receipt and takes another 20 secondsThen I explain  ,  "welcome to the new world of lumber prices".I have heard there are several options with "cement, plastic, cast walls"  right around the corner!

Lumber 2X or more  Wire for the house doubled .. plastic pipe 75 cents a foot a few months ago 2.75 today .. cabinets up  Roofing materials UP  on and on..  

A good place to start is a general purpose homeowner's toolkit in a plastic molded case, the kind where you snap each of the tools in place.

I've seen videos where people put an additional piece of plexiglass at the rear of the window opening, attach a plastic edge to the plexiglass and attach with "pivot screws" and it creates an additional air-space and is removable for cleaning. 

And I notice part of the ceiling was damaged, my husband went up to check and to our surprise, there was a bundle of cash wrapped in plastic!

Its a hard plastic/rubber type coating they put inside your existing pipes insead of replacing them.

If you are that worried about it rap yourself in plastic and stay home.

Most of the time it's cheaper to dig and replace with plastic.2.
