I ended up getting my B.S. and then an MBA.

Like you I also have a MBA with my undergrad in finance and economics for god sake :) I have gutted my way through and I can do it, but I wouldn't say it comes easily or that I can visualize it like others seem to be able to do.

Just like those who have an MBA don't typically work for McDonald's money.You've got to ask yourself, do you want to work with someone who is willing to work for McDonald's money?

If you want to go to college you could  study real estate and finance then get your MBA.

When I study the hyperinflation of the Wiemar Republic after World War I (When Money Dies by Adam Fergusson), that hyperinflation was brought under control by backing the German currency with mortgages because the German public had confidence in them.Study Warren Buffett's presentations (Warren Buffett MBA Talk, a 90-minute slice of heaven if you're a value investor).

All of what I know about investing has been gained from books, Biggerpockets, and my graduate studies for my MBA. 

I received my undergrad in Molecular and Cellular Biology and I'm currently deciding on med schools for a dual MD/MBA degree. 

@Brady Wise  Just my two cents, but if you are really interested in real estate, I would get a degree in Finance or Real estate or Accounting or even possibly engineer.I cant tell you how often knowing the mechanics of electrical circuits or even statics from my engineering degree, or how understanding Present value, or cost of capital etc from my MBA has helped me to quickly understand what mortgage brokers, or contractors or real estate agents have helped me when trying to understand a necessary repair, or obscure part of getting a deal done.Yeah, it might not be explicitly necessary, but having a degree will help you.
