Luckily, we decided to continue investing all the way through the recession and those purchases enabled us to enter real estate again at a comfort level that we were both happy with. 

I've lived in Asia for years and the Central Banks of the respective countries have the legitimate right to ask what is the source of funds, and what's the money being used for.

If your tenant has less to legitimately complain about than the rest of the people s/he works with, sooner or later you're going to end up with a waiting list of future tenants.

We are not the best lender for every investor (although the more traditional types of funding we extend can and do work for most deals) Interestingly it does not seem to matter how many success stories we publish, case studies we produce, documented deals we list,  legitimate positive reviews we receive - there are those who instantly believe anything negative they read online and dismiss all of the positive.
