I suppose it’s because of all the mortgage fraud and etc going on in the last decade... they are taking every precaution as possible...

Will I get accused of mortgage fraud if my job causes me to be away much of the time? 

A mortgage broker told me today that selling it any time soon could result with an investigation for loan fraud. 

@Ashley White Campbell my property management group got me a reasonable rate ( less than half my first quote) for nearly identical coverage.

I initially thought the worst (identity theft), but highly doubt that to be the case.

I read people very well at times, and I don't like being right about this stuff.I spent a great many years of my life paycheck to paycheck, no credit, no money, around drugs, around addiction, around fraud, around poor money management and I payed very close attention to it all.

I don't get it.And even with accreditation you can't prevent fraud.  

I mean, technically, it is mortgage fraud if you obtained mortgage as a second property with the intent to rent it out instead of using it as you informed the bank.

Maybe arrange your financing ahead of time for a second deal and put 30% down on another identical deal. you’ll still have half a million left for reserves or a third I dentical deal if you have other reserves. 

On the state side, in New York the law states that the following is exempt from transfer taxes: "a deed that effects a mere change of identity or form of ownership or organization but only to the extent that the beneficial ownership remains the same."
