Newbie here, looking to house hack first duplex.

My ultimate goal is to transition into real estate investing, focusing on rental properties and possibly house hacking as my next step after wholesaling.Given my current position, I’d love to hear your thoughts and advice on where I should start.

I just posted my rooms for rent in my first house-hacking (yay!)

As a beginner, you can learn a lot from your uncle with a few rentals in another state or a co-worker who's on their second house hack.

I am wrestling with paying tithe on that amount when it is not cash flow just covering the bills as a house hack.

Currently, I live in Hawaii, house hacking my own property, and am looking to expand into out-of-state long-term rentals.My goals now are to master the art of wholesaling, continue raising private money, and build a strong portfolio of long-term rentals.

I’ve had investors in Austin who started small, house-hacking or buying single-family homes in neighborhoods they grew up in.

I see too many new investors want to house hack, but also brrrr, but also flip, and maybe an air bnb in there too.

I also sold one of my rentals here and have my current house hack remaining (the rest of my portfolio is out of state).
