Then you have Private Money Outfits. 

I hear about people spending $30k to outfit a place, when the number could be $3k.

Just wondering about the farming end of the operation.Will your large organic, self sustainable, regenerative, no till farm make a profit for the owners (from farming alone).Organic goods sell at a premium.Do you have a supply line waiting to be filled, such as a grocery chain, or wholesale to restaurants outfit, or a national food prep company like Swanson, or are you going to farmers market it, or donate it to a food bank?

We do have a two car garage that I could easily outfit to be inaccessible to guests which could store our personal belongings. 

Quotes can be all over the place from a high end large contracting outfit to a low end, uncle Bill, one man band contractor who does not have insurance and can under cut anyone's price by $20,000, until he can't finish the work, and needs another $40,000.This is a very high risk strategy if you do not have all the pieces in place. 

To actually make money at the STR management game, you've got to have a lot of properties, and so those small outfits are always looking for growth, and once you have a lot of properties, you often see problems with scaling such as a reduction in cleaning precision and guest communication.Again, I'm interested to hear from others out there doing the short-term rental thing.

Verify the results with what you pull manually.Remember you have to outfit the place so that can be a hefty expense.Also, the first year of rental will be on the thin side.
