@Kyle Doney, My rentals are in Arizona and Texas (from military moves).

We have a strong military community, always growing medical training facilities, a tremendously strong tourist and convention sector and the Eagle Ford Shale project created 116,000 high paying mid skilled jobs in 2013 and a 61 billion economic impact on the region.

Currently Active Military and have 1 rental property.

But the Pro's of getting out of the military, far outweigh the Con's.

I enjoy many aspects of the military but periodically imagine whether or not I could make a decent living to support my family working for myself on my own terms, which is probably why I'm drawn to real estate.Neither my wife nor I have ever owned any property.

I'll also be retiring from the military so will have a small income stream and low cost health care to reduce some of my risks.Thanks to all those who post on the forum for your inspiration and specifically to the BP Podcast for tons of fantastic ideas and to J Scott who's sample plans I've studied while drafting my own plan.
