They are very nice and can be helpful providing you what you can and cannot build on your property (Set back, height restrictions, front look etc).

These properties are now rented as long-term rentals, and we plan to expand our portfolio while also branching into short-term rentals.Looking back, I realize how much my current knowledge and experience could have fast-tracked our success.

Therefore being able to gathering all the parceled proceeds back together for the one large purchase would be almost impossible. 

@Bobby Paquette, someone had asked about this group a while back and I will say, there is a lot that scares me about this company.  

Now taht real estate has gone back to the good ole days of not being an appreciation machine and a good investor needs sound fundamentals in managing and overseeing the properties - now you are given the wave of "creative finance" which comes off as its easy to get a home but it will be interesting to see how these people are fairing in a few years of mismanagement of these assets. 

@Luke Spencer I am not on the management side but I can tell you it took 2+ years to fill 300 units at one of our facilities and the other just hit 300 units in 12/13 months so it really depends on the demographics, and local housing market trend, the more people moving in and out the higher the demand for storage.I think if you're looking at a saturated market then the upfront cash to turn the warehouse into self storage is not a good idea but then again, maybe those operators are on back roads ( low visibility ) and don't push google ads well.

Best case scenario would be house hacking a duplex / triplex / quadplex and learning in your back yard.
