When I looked a the requirements for endorsement I noticed that you must have two (2) years' experience as a licensed salesperson along with taking pre-requisite course work and passing the Broker exam.With regards to the two (2) years as a licensed salesperson, can this apply to any previous sales experience (not in real estate) or do you have to hold an actual DC sales license for 2 years?

Also, the rental use needs to be addressed to make sure the policy does not prohibit it or need to be endorsed.

For the latter, both owner and lender's title insurance with the appropriate endorsements is crucial.

I would be sure to get coverage with an ALTA 34 endorsement.

I would just get a landlord policy with an endorsement for short term rentals.
