It taught her that if there’s any confusion about terms, you want that clarity sooner rather than later.When it comes to rent, I’d look at comparable properties in your area.. from what I read in Forbes, some commercial leases even build in annual percentage increases so you’re not stuck below market for too long.

It would definitely be fraud if this was the case, a recent post from an auctioneer talked about this exact situation, where they said the auctioneer was liable (different bedrooms/type of home example you don't have to read it) States would differ though and it doesn't seem black and white. https://mikebrandlyauctioneer.wordpress.com/2022/07/12/no-li...I do agree with you that it could very well lead to being burnt, however.

I am in a situation where my wife and I operate rentals through an LLC and was hoping to avoid partnership return (non community property state)My reading of the 2007 small business and work opportunity act is that spouses may elect out of partnership filing rules and there is no mention of different rules if within an LLC.
