To be honest (as a business owner myself) I have been surprised by the professionalism and communication skills of these lenders. 

The VA would need training on ins and outs, policies on your leasing, maintenance and all other items in order to properly handle, communicate with your tenants and prospect tenants.

I've personally communicated with the inspectors, and they are aware of how the tenant is trying to manipulate the situation.

We do have our account reconciliations audited by a 3rd party quarterly, which helps catch errors before they impact our clients.Highly recommend any owner dealing with a PMC discuss with their PMC and their tax professional, or an expert like @Sean O'Keefe, about how to improve processes and communications to make this process smoother:)

Communication was the key breakdown in my experience, but to Rob’s credit, he is working on improving things there in that regard.
