The trick is finding a team of people you can trust, using layers of protection and advice, and making sure everyone else makes money so they are happy and want to take care of you.If you think about it, unless you're a super handy guy or insist on managing your own properties, you wouldn't need to go directly to your own property even if it was right down the street.

I have a different calendar layer with unique color for each vacation rental.To sync calendars between sites, I do the following:Import my Airbnb calendar to the VRBO calendar for each listingImport my VRBO calendar to the Airbnb calendar for each listingManually add any off-site reservations (people who reach out to me directly) to the VRBO calendar for each listingThis is the best workaround I have come up with and has been working pretty well for me.

Ask me how I know this....2) the hardware at ikea for cabinets (drawer pulls, etc) is not the best, and needs some patience and tweaking, but can give you a really, really cool look for a lot less than custom.  3) if and when someone tears through the outer laminate (plastic) layer on them, water will destroy them in no time (think under-sink leak)
