Does anyone know how I would be able to find an address of someone who recently passed away other than driving to city hall and going to public records?

Anything "public" is way way way way safer.

How cool is it that we have the freedom to have our own opinions -- each based on our own experiences and/or education -- and that we can express those opinions in a public forum!  

Also, note that if the liens have been released, usually that's a matter of public record, if someone chooses to go searching for that information. 

One example in Oregon for instance if your going to buy 1 home and fix it up to sell to the public you MUST have a developers license or a GC license.   

You're a "public figure" your name can be used legally, you using my name is protected information.

I'm quite public about performance numbers with my properties there.

The Land Trust would be very useful for both transferring properties into the Series LLC because it is excluded from the Due on Sale Clause AND it can also be used to remove the investors name from public record and provide anonymity for your ownership of the property.

The issue is that creating an LLC in NY is ridiculous - 6 weeks of newspaper publication, etc.  

All things being equal, the same property transported across state lines would cost significantly less to operate in OR.
