I have a situation that need advises. 

I have another deal schedule to close next week and another the beginning of next month; both using them as my JV partner.My advise is to make sure your numbers are right, know your time line and negotiate good terms in your contracts and you'll be fine.

Typically before the land is purchased, I advise buyers to perform all of the due diligence starting with the zoning and development code to know what is even possible within the confines of the existing zoning with the city/county.

The key takeaway here is to reach out to your tax professional early in the year and provide them with all the necessary tax information to ensure timely and accurate filing.To answer your question, unless you have the proper knowledge or training to handle your taxes, especially since you have a rental property, it would be advisable to seek out another tax professional instead of filing your taxes yourself.

I am entering escrow tomorrow and although I have reviewed all the various data from this property I am still "inexperienced" and we all know that although a buyer's agent has a fiduciary they are still going to have a monetary agenda so if something might be on the fence they will shine a positive light on it.
