Be clear with him to write in the report if he found tree roots or anything that was unrelated to something being flushed down the toilet.1.1.3.1  Inform resident when the plumber will be at the property and approximately how long the job may take.

We snaked it to get some temporary relief and it works for now, but eventually we are going to have to shell out $5k to have the line replaced, it's damaged by a tree root.

Outside is a different story, as tree roots or shifts in the earth can crack a sewer line.If the smell is coming from the water lines, first thing to do is have the water tested for chlorine level.

However since I already have a solid relationship with my property management company in Wilmington, and prices/taxes/insurance are more in line with what I'm currently able to afford, I figured starting off on a smaller geography where I already have some roots would be a better option.
