If you looked in the Bronx, Yonkers or Mount Vernon, that might be an achievable goal.Additionally, as a fun fact, 4-family homes are not subject to the mansion tax in NYC.Best of luck.

I bought a Victorian mansion from a friend who hired the local professional flooring/bathroom company to install the bathroom tile and she had 3/6 bathrooms with large tile crack and have other issues that she had to have them come replace the tile twice in one bathroom.

Some B&Bs can get good values if they have been set up as a B&B and have some other significance(ie victorian mansion or elegant farm house).

I look at the lifestyles of the tremendously wealthy that have come out of real estate (today its not too hard to become a millionaire if you play it right), big mansions (if you can do what Cardone said, and pay the house off in cash),  luxury cars, you know high class living.I'm not necessarily looking to make it a career, rather one of many sources of income to build up a pretty net worth.

We also have single homes that may hit the million dollar mark that are nor really in the nicest area, old mansions in very good condition  bring a premium, the neighborhood may have other issues, such market prices would skew the population.
