tend to believe everyone is motivated by money; people who are lifestyle motivated think everyone is motivated by the least amount of time expended; people who are risk adverse can’t believe other people are willing to “bet” on outcomes even when the odds are clearly in their favor. 80% of the time (IMO) people who make decisions we disagree with are not making stupid, ill informed decisions or being “tricked”; they just have motivation, needs and desires different that our own.  

I’ll begin by saying I have no objective data to support my opinion, but I do have some subjective data, so take it for what it’s worth.I think the trouble is pretty widespread, particularly among newer syndicators (defining that by less than 10 years in the business, so never having survived an adverse cycle).  

So, even if they have money to deploy, they are feeling very risk adverse.  

By that last statement, I mean that if a plaintiff THINKS someone  MIGHT have redemption rights (such as an adverse possessor) they should be included in the lawsuit as defendants.

If for some reason you need to rely on regular adverse possession instead of tax sale short statute of limitations, it requires ten years of possession after color of title.

And good agents will follow the correct path to make sure that they're providing proper value to their clients and get paid in a way that doesn't adversely affect their clients. 

I'm ni OG expert though, I'm just risk adverse.

You need to develop your rules and policies around late payments; and you have to be able to calmly deal with adverse situations.  

We learn about a person’s true character when faced with adversity.
