If your credit is pulled for any reason, you will have to complete a letter of explanation and possibly provide more documents to show that no new debt was incurred.

If the wood perimeter is higher than the concrete floor (which I think it is per your explanation) you could always try to sand down the wood that is on the perimeter to try and get it flush with the concrete.

Now sometimes I would get a credit for a new lead but you have to write a detailed explanation every time I would ask for refund and wouldn't always get it rewarded.
