I’m using a 12 mill thickness with built in underlay for the new floor.My question is if that alone will take care of any irregularities from the existing, partially removed linoleum or if I should use additional LVP backing installed separate from the new floor.This is my first LVP install.

Neutralizer is also essential, lay it on thick and probably cover with poly to make sure it soaks in vs evaporates.

Just remember that the existing drywall, especially if it buts up against the wall of the house, will most likely be 5/8" thick because it was the fire barrier while the space was a garage.

@Carlos Ptriawan and on the qualitative side—there are lots of these micro markets popping up, more so now as people want proximity to what major cities have to offer but are reluctant to live in the thick of it.
