You'll have to pay to have your finger prints taken and there's the licensing/exam fee as well. 

I would definitely use the position as a secondary source of income (aside from just working my own deals), and I'm sure having your finger on the pulse of values, buyer preferences, neighborhood nuances, etc. is also a huge help.Do you guys feel you get better access to better deals from being an agent?

If I had to put my finger on the origin of those, I would say it comes from trying to connect whole loan investing with real property investing.
