So, in Birmingham, we have a the University and it's teaching hospital which employ more than 18,000 people.

I recently moved to Arlington, VA after graduating university and starting a career in the financial services industry.  

I also own a third of a 3-bedroom near University Park/Westchester, and a third of a lot (same area) that is currently being rented out to a landscaping business.I plan to see my condo out until I own it outright and am currently looking into buying a potential final-family home in South Miami, Dadeland, or Pinecrest.

I was born and raised in the greater Los Angeles area and graduated from university in 2012.

My nephew took business classes at a big university where he was told partnership never work.

I'll be buying another distressed small multifamily property within 2 months, repair it over the winter and have it leased this coming spring/summer.I went to the University of Minnesota and received a degree in Construction Management knowing that I wanted to get into real estate investing.

There are multiple universities nearby if the college crowd is your customer base.  

But that was also 15 years ago, so completely unhelpful.What about going closer to THE Ohio State University?

The city has cleaned up with a partnership with the University of Notre Dame, and if you check the economy section of the paper here, you'll find over 700 Million dollars has been flooded into development of this area.
