I would say in your case since you're wanting to buy land and then turn it into a mobile home park you'll want to do due diligence on looking into not only zoning and laws but also the supply and demand of mobile home parks in the market you're looking to purchase the land.

Just wanted to see what folks think makes sense at the moment.We haven't changed that much other than we are more focused on looking for opportunities that provide us with multiple ways to cash flow the property along with multiple exits.

I plan on looking at several houses with a realtor while there and may very well put one under contract, however; are the travel expenses deductible even if I don't buy?

So if you can find both then but REI aside and focus on looking at what each state as to offer for the quality of life you want.

Most people have to start from scratch after the first.I agree with others on looking in Connecticut or Pennsylvania. 

Good suggestion on looking at doubling up, and making full rent due. 

Hey Belen,Not yet, I’ve decided to work on graduating first since I only have a few months left and then I will focus more energy on looking for a property.

Good idea though on looking up those properties now.I think I typically try to tick too many boxes.

If you don't want to drive an hour every time then search for things within an hour drive.I can't give you specific advice as I don't know which neighborhoods you plan on looking into.
