I bought the home for $8,500 cash, cleaned the carpet, painted some walls (a rule of mine every time I re-rent or sell a home to give it a fresh smell) and about 2 weeks later the home rented for $650 per month.

I have a duplex and one side has a pretty bad odor.I washed all the walls and doors with pine sol then did it again and it does smell better but the smell seems to still be lingering.I at first thought that the smell was from smoking marijuana the tenants were avid users of the miracle plant. add to that they smoked cigarettes.
