In addition to their standard updates, I appreciate the regular calls with a supervisor to address any issues with our rep and make sure everything is on track.They've managed several of my properties, and while there were occasional maintenance costs, I felt they were reasonable and necessary to keep the properties in good shape and avoid bigger issues down the line.

I guess, I just wasnt prepared so if you want to avoid my mistakes you must prepare yourself mentally and be fortified because devious personality types will at some point come for your money and they will come as a friend.

@Dani Murai, while I can't give you a name of anyone in your area (I am not from there), when you are interviewing contractors, here are a couple things I have seen:I avoid any contractor that has a draw schedule based on percentages, i.e. 1/3 up front, 1/3 at halfway completed and 1/3 at completion.
