This may come as a shock to you but there are other children than your own, so multiply that 1hr by a generous small class size of 30, understand that the teacher still has to do all the lesson planning they did before and still has to manually grade some assignments, and likely has zoom teaching sessions for the entire class and maybe you'll understand why they still get paid.

There are QI's on this board like @Dave Foster who can also cover this aspect for you.As to the original question, where you complain about people saying "talk to a CPA", I took a real estate accounting course, meets once a week, 3 hours each, and it took them two sessions to cover all the specifics of 1031's. so its not something that someone will spend all afternoon with you on it on all the particulars.

There’s about a dozen that have RSVP’d thus far between the different channels and we can take a couple more, keeping each session to a relatively small group will be more effective for everyone.

I attended my first LLA meeting this month and I felt review of current state of affairs and a speaker or two on targeted topics was helpful. too many people for an intimate networking session but i'd like to see that too... maybe a quick around the room intro of your current state of REI affairs and what you want to get out of the meeting. but I am a newbie with a single REI and a new tenant literally moved in on that home yesterday!
