I'm not quite sure of the reasoning I think what he's implying is that we need fewer miserable charlatans shilling bovine scatological hyperbole about real estate investing. 

Wholesaling was never and will never be profitable compared with the amount of people who try it and fail miserably as Account Closed suggested.

If so, I would think that you would have the advantage here and make their lives miserable.

The vast majority of people trying to wholesale fail miserably.

I would be a miserable person and crappy landlord if my RE was covering costs in the hopes of some great payday in the future.
