Went with the one that was slightly cheaper at $4,100 and they even agreed to flush/descale the tankless water heater for free while they were on site. :)

Toilets will flush, but will only refill with water from above in your pipe network (upstairs drains down through the supplies).

In one of the units you can smell the sewer gases when the toilet flushes.

I had someone come unclog the pump, and it was completely packed with wipes, paper towels, etc. that were flushed by the tenant.

Seems when the tenant flushes the toilet or runs the shower.

Recently I pulled a tank lid and it was full of garbage that a tennat flushed down toilet. 

High water bills are usually due to a faulty toilet that is constantly running/flushing.

Interested in hearing if anyone has faced these findings before and how large of a problem it is and how much budget (if any) you'd put towards it:(1)...most of the sill/base plate of the home's exterior walls are not sitting flush on the stone (cement reinforced) foundation.(2) Additionally the basement beam supports are old and should really be metal.Here's pictures of Item 1: My thought is that this could be solved with metal wraps, some bolts from the wood into the concrete and filling foam.Here's a picture of Item 2: My thought is that this could be solved using a heavy duty anchor, similar to this:None of these issues seem particularly troublesome but interested in everyone's thoughts and experiences.
