Hey nice to meet you PatrickI forgot to say that I’m an out of state investor but definitely want to come and join meetups I’m new to this market and thinking to invest on west Columbia, Lexington and Greenville on the northeast. 

My mum currently lives there, she is 80 and not very well, but you would also become a tenant in common and as such if you had the time you could profit 100% from the transaction, as I need cash urgently and am willing to heavily discount the asset.I am wondering if there is a market out there where someone wants to get a foothold in the London market by buying my part of the property.

Your focus on the Dallas market and Fix and Flip projects sounds solid, especially with the DIY approach and having an interior designer on your team. 

Your realtor will be able to give you a much more detailed market specific answer but with house hacking and a VA loan it should be possible to get 0 out of pocket.

I’m giving serious consideration to converting into a PadSplit.However, I have heard that Fort Worth (the city, Tarrant County, the faceless boogey man…) has issues with PadSplit whereas Dallas County is supportive.I would love to hear about your experiences between the two markets and if Fort Worth can be viable for PadSplit and anything I should be mindful of?

Context: My wife is in real estate annd we anre in the Houston market.

If we are losing money every year, but do plan on holding on to it long term, with our goal being appreciation of the market and someone else paying a good chunk of our mortgage, is this worth doing on any level?
