You have an advantage with growing up on the internet, it will be way easier for you to be effective at these tasks and when you do find a mentor you offer value and it shows that you also have ambition.   

I haven't really focused too much on specific geographic factors other than areas that I'm interested in moving to for career opportunity or ambition.
