Just go on VRBO/ AirBnB and contact them through their listing (also a great way to get some great info about the area, complex, home owners association, etc...).My only challenge for investing from afar is that I'm normally a very hands on type of person, so giving up some control to a PM wasn't the easiest thing for me to do, but it has all worked out very well.We visit our VR at least once a year.

This way I don't have to worry about blocking out time to remodel a place or pay top dollar for one that's already renovated.To be fair, it doesn't seem worth it to invest in a VR in Maui unless you're willing to put down a lot of cash or be able to self manage.

You'll have to qualify on your own income and I don't think you can speculate on any rental income that you may derive from VR.

If the VR is $125 a night, you are paying that plus the $150 cleaning fee, plus the security deposit and/or the non-refundable damage insurance.

These houses are not VR's, they are places to stay for refinery contractors doing short term jobs.My logic is that the more people I can put into a place the longer it will be rented out.  1 or 2 guys might be transferred to a Texas or Louisiana refinery, the other guys stay in the house and find new room mates.
