DENVER — Rent costs in the Denver-metro area recorded the largest monthly decline in the nation in January, according to Zillow’s monthly rental report.Denver was one of 11 major metro areas where monthly rental rates fell, leading the way at a 0.4% decline in January rent costs, the report shows.

I would love to hear any suggestions about where I should look to live in the area. 

I will finish the basement and rent out for about 1800 a month to minimize monthly mortgage

@Chris Seveney - Chris I know you know this, but sharing this for a lot of less experienced investors out there. 

We've been going to duplex open houses in Cleveland & Akron and a few showings with our agent who has more experience in the Akron area, to learn about neighborhoods, price, quality, etc.

If you enter at this point, be prepared to ride this wave.

We won’t qualify to get another mortgage anyway due to either dti or income.From your investor expertise, what would you do in this situation?

After quitting the RE space in 2008 as a burned out landlord with upside down properties, I rejoined the space as a curious vacant land newbie investor in early 2023.
