I just sold my condo unit to a woman who had an attorney read the transaction, we were expecting them to come back with at least three challenges that any attorney or even an experienced agent would catch, NOTHING. 

When I dug in a little further about his “past” I found he was arrested about 12 years ago for raping a drunk woman with a knife, and then trying to hire a hit man to kill her when she went to the police.

I just want to be as delicate as possible since this woman just lost her sister.  

A "middleman" would be the wo/man between an asset seller and an asset buyer, who generally does not change the basic asset but facilitates the transaction in some fashion that (theoretically) adds value.

This is in Los Angeles CA.One of the tenants is a woman on section 8 that was living there when my parents bought the property.

The outcome was we sold the property for a profit to a very nice woman whose granddaughter could not have been happier to have "her own room."
