Jay Helms To my fellow introverts....

(That's how I know I'm not an extrovert, btw, because a true extrovert would LOVE interacting with so many people - not me, I usually dread it before, and am drained/wiped afterwards.)I do it out of a feeling of obligation to help newer members/investors, because I was once new myself, and because I do believe in the power of networking, and to do that you have to be willing to interact with and help people. But if you're new and don't know anyone and anxious about groups in general (especially intimidating is how everyone already seems to know each other or are Super Friendly with each other), you can try to "prime the pump" by asking folks here on BP if they're going, and saying in advance that you'd like to talk to them that night, so you'll have at least one person to definitely talk to.Another trick is that, generally people like people who are like themselves.
