I would think as long as both parties enter into a confidentiality agreement then sufficient information should be made available for you to make an informed decision as to the value and your interest in the deal.  

The reason why I go outside Fairway is to keep things confidential and not have to deal with employee/employer issues if a loan can not get sold.
