@Juan Diaz,I lumped categorical implications based on capital movement, and the constraint of otherwise limits in the principle based from mainstream economics; land, money, labor, and commodities, where money knows no border yet labor is monetized as a commodity just like the intrinsic value of a precious metal, or the value of crops.

I notice you are a CPA, are you a cross border specialist or a general CPA? 

I've got a nice 3/2 house 2 car in a Charlotte suburb just over the border in South Carolina that I've consistently rented out for the last 10 years.  

Tourist towns in Michigan are : Traverse City, South Haven,  Saugatuck , Pentwater , these are all on the Lake Michigan border.

One way to scout for diamonds in the rough is to identify the rundown neighborhoods that border the highly desired ones.

I used to go to Barnes and Noble or Borders books and could find niche type books to buy but they have now went to basic beginner books on most categories which are no value to me.

I know an excellent cross-border CPA out of Ottawa who I can happily recommend.

I am mostly north of the NC/SC border, with only one 80 acre parcel in Dillon county SC that I eventually bailed on last year.

In California, I would have to pay tax on the income earned out of state, but brought back into California (even though the business was conducted outside of CA borders)2) My eyes really have been around the Eugene and Corvallis areas; with Bend and Beaverton/Hillsboro in the peripheral.
