I am new to the forums and have been listening to Bigger Pockets religiously for the past year.

Lately, I've been on biggerpockets podcasts and forums religiously so I can be in the position to minimize my mistakes and not take any big losses financially.

To a certain extent this is a religious argument, meaning we're never going to reach full agreement because there are so many variables and differing goals. 

The schools aren't particularly good, though there are some decent private and religious schools in the area plus there is a magnet school which is aimed at academically gifted students.

Of course there were some other things to consider (religious family and we were engaged so needed to be thoughtful of who was living where, etc).  

I will pay for that meeting and all the specialist, but it is better than buying the place then finding out i can not do anything with it except find a school or religious group to lease it, because that's all it can be right now.

I don't agree with his suggestions for investments or his religious views but he gets the basic psychological reasons that put people in situations like yours and his method seems like a good way out.

Man, Florida is more religious than I thought.

The timing of the purchase makes perfect sense as I am sure folks are busy with family and festivities during the holidays.

my best advice would be to start listening to the podcast religiously You can learn a lot.
