I think they contain solid information and will help lay a good foundation as a beginner (Haha, I'm completely new to real estate as well, btw)I'm also going to be reading the following books, and hopefully I can finish all by the end of this month:1) The ABCs of Property Management2) The Advanced Guide to Real Estate Investing3) Long-Distance Real Estate Investing How to Buy, Rehab, and Manage Out-of-State Rental Properties (this might be the most important one to me personally)4) The Book on Investing in Real Estate with No (and Low) Money DownIn addition to reading, I'm consuming crazy amounts of youtube videos, and I'recommend you do this as well.

These platforms are affordable and offer comprehensive reports (credit, background, eviction history) without you having to handle sensitive information directly.Verify Employment and Landlord History: Your plan to request pay stubs and a landlord reference is solid.

There are lots of helpful people in this forum and LOTS of posts to scour.

I think that's one of the reasons that I didn't post very much on BIggerPockets, it's because I was just trying to keep my head above water.But now it's 2025 and things are stabilizing and I have a much more positive outlook on the future.Let me know if any of you had a couple of difficult years recently and how you were able to turn it around if you did.

The latter part of my post was referring to the protection of the account, not the assets through funding but the cash left on-hand.I think because banks are or were typically used for ck, savings, etc, I never looked to them as offering IRA/SDIRA.When I opened my account (2018) it was with specifics in mind and now I am reevaluating.

Post pandemic, the secret is out and investors can no longer 'simply' operate a nightly vacation rental in most cities and regions.
