I studied civil/construction engineering in college and I work for a global Arch/Eng. and I've learned to become borderline obsessive when pricing and putting estimates together. 3+ days and I'm still carefully gathering cost information.  

One bedroom apartments have very high turnover and prone to instability.Here is what I understand, banks look at what they call your global finance picture and they are lending based on that picture.

But if asked to invest in real property, - emphasis on the "real" - you are met with a myriad of excuses: The primary of which being "if I want to move away, I don't want to be stuck with a mortgage."

Hi.So i firmly belive that the global financial markets are teetering on the edge right now.What im interested in your ideas are how that would affect someone like me and what steps to take to limit that exposure to risk.Im looking at buying a simple rental in New Zealand with a mortgage from a NZ bank, and some funding from my parents who i will need to pay back eventually, perhaps around 10 years or so roughly. 

Many things play into the national economy and global economy, real estate being one slice of a very big pie. 

I am interested in investing in single and multi-family homes in the North Central Washington area with emphasis on Wenatchee.

Or is it just the standard description and emphasis on what the tenants CAN'T do?

Remember this was 2009 in the midst of the Global Financial Crisis, and everyone was getting laid off or working their rear off in fear of getting canned.
