We are in the process of bidding on a property that our attorney has reviewed and realized is within a 100 ft of wetlands and as result we will need to run nearly every decision through the committee for conservation and wildlife.

The net result is that (for the most part) these local/regional banks carry their own paper, have their own loan committees, and set their own parameters.

Deals under $250k our lender only needs to go to committee after underwriting, which supposedly takes less time.

I was asked to be on a committee for an area project under construction downtown. 

This is with older experienced lending officers or brokers, the new ones are simply number crunchers who take the deal, ultimately to the seniors for approval and then to a loan committee if needed.

I am a member of REIA and also am on the Brew City REI committee.

The Legislature's Judiciary Committee is expected to vote on this bill by May 2, the deadline for action.
