I have been reading about real estate for years and continuing to push 'getting started' to the back burner.

Here's what he told me regarding efficiency:He said a single electric baseboard heating element can eat 3 KW - that's like leaving two burners on your electric stove on high. 

People line up for the newest iPhone, but there's never a line at the gas station for a $30 burner.  

At one point I thought I wanted to keep the house during that time Neal took on another entire home renovation which put our house on the back burner.  

Also, on top of this the seller has been flipping other houses (No judgement) but we keep getting pushed to the back burner every time.

The best deals investors come across are off market properties and it is really important to have good comps for those provided in a timely manner, if you are a new investor you haven't had time to establish a track record with an agent so your requests will be back burnered because there is no money in it for the agent.

Being lied to is nothing new but here's the story:Last Friday, they we complaining that their stove wasn't working (eventually we found out their complaint was that one of the 4 coils/burners got "too" hot, even on low temp).

The owner of the park sold the whole thing shortly thereafter.Moral of the story, even though those cabins might be new, someone else in your area might be renting out furnished houses that are older but bigger than the cabins, and the houses have better amenities like a full 4 burner stove (not a hotplate that's in a cabin), washer/dryer, cable, faster WiFi, better location, bigger beds, etc. 

I put them on the back burner.

If you set your priorities on investment properties and place the SFH on the back burner for a few years you will be financially far further ahead in 5-10 years down the road.
