If I were the third floor tenant, I would not want incense or scented candles coming into my apartment, either, as I am very sensitive to smell, but taking it to the level of threatening a discrimination suit due to allergies is a huge red flag that you should take seriously.

For now, we stay in AirBnbs when we travel, but I hate the whole AirBnb experience of browsing hundreds of listings, having maintenance issues, having to guess if the location is good, and knowing that I am likely displacing a local family (airbnbs are ruining the neighborhood I live in, so I am sensitive to this).

When a tenant tends to talk my ear off, obviously text is the best wayOn the other hand, if there is a sensitive issue at hand or some explaining I or the tenant needs to do, best is in a phone conversation and NOT texting so I can be better understood or vice versa.
