I am in the middle of a situation where I would like to non renew due to some issues but renovated the unit mid-lease and now have no legally justified reason for the non renew without jumping through some hoops first.

There are many, many already doing this, too, not like I just pulled it out of my rear end this morning.

Anyways, that's my situation - its unique at least among people I socialize/work with (middle class/upper middle class Americans or well-off immigrants)
