In my senior seminar class, one of our assignments is to identify a mentor to meet with in person or virtually 4 times this semester in an industry we are interested in pursuing upon graduation.I would love to connect with a bigger pockets member that has experience in personal real estate investing for themselves or who has work experience in a specific field that has allowed other people to achieve financial independence through real estate investing.

I am extremely new in this field, but I have a partner who has been pushing me extremely hard to go all in with him investing in a rental property in a retirement community.

One other potential concern that could arise in the field, is the basement unit in the case where it happens to not be unit which is "Legally Recognized" by the City.

Running both of one septic tank with single drain field. 

I focus a lot on the income side of things, such as how much they are paid monthly, how long they have been at their current job and/or in the career field.

you can consider a sale pitch.. but just remember one usually has better advertising through the MLS, also better access/availability unless you have time to field all the phone calls and arrange showings.  

Boy am I jumping into an unknown field here.

By interacting with people, you may create relationships and learn important information.Make Connections with Other Members: Get in touch with other members who are involved in your target market or who have knowledge in related fields.

Architect with around a decade of experience in the field, looking to start investing in fix/flip type of deals! 

You could use the appraisal/ appraiser as a way of leveling the plan field..P.S  Keep in mind you got to keep your cards close to your chest because the agent is working for the seller.
